The DAISY Award is a global recognition program created by the DAISY Foundation to honor nurses (and nursing students, educators, and leaders) who go above and beyond in providing compassionate, exceptional care.

It is built around four key principles:

• Partnering with nursing schools for ongoing recognition

• Ensuring every student has a fair and transparent chance to be honored

• Providing guided implementation and program materials

• Allowing flexibility to adapt the award to each school’s unique culture and values.
